Disney’s newest release has hit the big screens. “Bolt” is an animated movie that features the voices of John Travolta and Miley Cyrus. The combination of the seasoned actor and the up and coming star provides great chemistry and creates endearing characters.
Miley Cyrus is the voice of Penny, the human star of the hit television series, “Bolt.” Penny’s best friend and cohort is her four-legged co-star, a white mutt of a dog named “Bolt.” John Travolta’s voice gives Bolt’s character a resonance deeper than one might expect from a city pound dog. But Bolt is no ordinary mongrel; he has super powers that help save his beloved Penny from the evil clutches of the “Green Eyed Man.”
But reality meets fantasy when Bolt is accidentally shipped across the country and he has to find his way back to Penny. Without his super powers! Rino (a crazed hamster) and Mittens (a reluctant cat) share Bolt’s adventures in many inventive and funny situations. But the real hero is Bolt, who discovers that he can accomplish whatever he sets his mind to do – without the crutch of using super powers.
“Bolt” is a feel-good movie with a great message – nothing you have in your life is worth as much as how good you feel about yourself. Go see “Bolt” – you will leave feeling inspired, with a spring in your step that almost could be taken for a super hero!
