The Munster Mansion
The idea for the home came to the McKees after they sold their Victorian house on Main Street in Waxahachie. So Sandra decided to model their new home after the Victorian house used in “The Munsters,” one of her favorite television shows growing up.
She researched the show and watched every episode, taking notes of each room’s decorations. Then she began the long, arduous task of finding replicas. We Want Your Spooky Stories! The Waxahachie Journal is always interested in anything interesting, unique or simply amazing. In the spirit of Halloween (no pun intended), we would like to publish your brief (500 words or less) stories about unusual events or occurrences that you believe were “ghost-related.” We are particularly interested in any stories that are based in Waxahachie – either something you witnessed yourself or a tale that was told to you, passed down through your family.
The deadline for submission is October 25, 2008. We will publish as many appropriate stories as possible, in a separate section called, “Spooky Stories.” Be sure to visit Waxahachie Journal between October 25 and Halloween to see if your story made it!
