 AUSTIN, Texas - Waxahachie area student, Neven Simpson, has been selected to receive the prestigious Texas Exes Award for Scholarship and Leadership. Simpson attended Waxahachie High School where she was captain of the volleyball team and president of the school's community service organization, Interact Club. Neven was also very involved in the Waxahachie community, volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, the Special Olympics and numerous other organizations. She will enter The University of Texas at Austin in August and plans to study communications.
