A Spooky Fundraiser PDF Print E-mail

catfishCatfish Plantation, under new owners Ryan Rodriguez and Jim Ensinia, have continued the tradition of honoring the spooky events that still occur in the 1895 Victorian house. As their website claims, they serve “Soul and Spirits.”

On October 31, 2008 at 10:00 p.m. (yes, Halloween night), you can help the Texas Spirit Seekers investigate the paranormal atmosphere that pervades the house. Tickets are $5.00 each and the proceeds go to help CASA of Ellis County (Court Appointed Special Advocates).

A drawing will be held on October 25th to determine the lucky (or unlucky) eight people who will stay after the restaurant closes and observe the Texas Spirit Seekers conduct their investigation. The Texas Spirit Seekers utilize a scientific approach to the investigation of paranormal phenomena. As part of the investigation, you will have the chance to watch them work (and possibly see the evidence yourself!)

Jim Ensinia noted recently that, “Most of the paranormal activity happens after the restaurant closes for the night and it is empty.” He paused then quietly added, “And the ghosts don’t really care for their ‘quiet time’ to be disturbed.”

Be sure to drop by the Catfish Plantation before October 25th – donate money to a great cause and maybe you will have the chance to be part of a spooky night! For more information, please visit the following websites:
