The Waxahachie Skate Park Citizens Advisory Committee requests support from the community."We would like to see people show their support for a skate park project by attending the city council meeting on Monday night," committee chairperson Alex Smith said.
The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. Monday, May 5, in the council chambers at City Hall, 401 S. Rogers."We want to bring to the front that skateboarding is an established and accepted recreational activity by many of our citizens," Smith said. The committee invites skate board, inline skate and BMX enthusiasts, as well as their parents, siblings and friends and all others who believe a skate park would benefit Waxahachie to make that known with their presence at the meeting. |
