“Some people!” snorted a man standing behind me in the long line at the grocery store. “You would think the manager would pay attention and open another line,” said another woman. I looked to the front of the line to see what the hold up was and saw a well-dressed, young woman, trying to get the machine to accept her credit card. No matter how many times she swiped it, the machine kept rejecting it.

Dancing With God - When I meditated on the word  Guidance,I kept seeing "dance" at the end of the word. I remember reading that doing God's will is a lot like dancing. When two people try to lead, nothing feels right. The movement doesn't flow with the music, and everything is quite uncomfortable and jerky.

Pa never had much compassion for the lazy or those who squandered their means and then never had enough for the necessities, but for those who were genuinely in need, his heart was as big as all outdoors.  It was from him that I learned the greatest joy in life comes from giving, not from receiving.
