Check Under Your Pillow for a Great Movie - If you don’t believe in the Tooth Fairy, you will become one. That’s what happened to Derek Thompson (Dwayne Johnson) in the new hit movie, Tooth Fairy. Derek did not believe in dreams and he did not like them until he realized that he needed dreams to feel alive.
This washed-up hockey player hated the idea of kids having dreams, and he tried to make anyone with a dream miserable. It was not until he was forced to take the form of a tutu-wearing, winged fairy and placed in the service of collecting teeth that his world changed.
Derek discovered that he needed to get into his “A” game on the ice when an 18-year old rookie (Ryan Sheckler) became the star of the hockey team. The younger player threatened Derek to look inside himself and find his inner hockey champion. Derek was also challenged to help others with love and compassion, and through that process, discovered that the world did not revolve around him.
This heart-warming film is appropriate for all ages and teaches a great lesson in a hilarious way. If you can handle the “tooth,” then you will discover that you can’t take the shot if you don’t shoot.
